Observation
We're engineering ourselves smarter while making life harder.
The pattern is unmistakable: we're upgrading the raw materials of human capability—neurons, organisms, advertisements, voices—while the actual experience of living seems to require constant mediation through new systems. A cyborg cockroach can dive. An AI label tells you which ads are fake. Our neurons keep getting more sophisticated. And somewhere in that progress, the ordinary human day became something that needs a label, a suit, a disclaimer just to function.
